Story of Tania Akter
I
am Tania Akter. I live at Bosaullah Village of Arial Union of Tongibari
Upazila, Munshiganj with my husband, one daughter, and two sons. My husband has
to bear all the expenses of my family, including the expenses of our one
daughter and two sons’ educational and other expenses. My husband’s income was
the only source to support our family. As my husband’s income was not
sufficient to support our family, we could not meet our day-to-day income and
this dearth induced quarrels every day in our family. For this, my husband left
me and my children and he became traceless. In this situation, I became very
helpless. To support my family and bear all the expenses, I had no way but to
stand in the street.
By
this time, I became acquainted with Abdus Salam, Assistant District Manager of
Bangladesh Bondhu Foundation, Tangibari, Munshiganj. He informed me about
earning 10,000 to 15,000 taka per month by working with Bondhu Chula, but in my
disastrous condition, I could not believe his words. But due to my abject
poverty, I started working on 8th November 2020 at Kurmira Village
depending on him. On the first day, I was able to sell 5 Bondhu Chula, on the second
day I sold 6 Bondhu Chula in that village, thus I grew faith in Bondhu Chula
work and continued working with full confidence.
I
got support from the Bondhu Chula partner and I received training from Munshiganj
District Office. I became encouraged as my communication with the officials
of Bangladesh Bondhu Foundation (BONDHU) head office increased and dreamt a
new dream to live with my children.
I
admitted my daughter to a madrasah with the earnings of working as a Bondhu Chula
Doctor and I have been leading a happy life with my children. Now, I can
participate in all familial and social functions and I also can meet the
demands of my children. In Arial Union, I have been executing the duty of
maintaining Bondhu Chula as a Bondhu Chula Service Doctor. I earn 10,000 to
12,000 taka every month. As a result, my monthly income has increased and I
have become an icon among many. I am
grateful to Bangladesh Bondhu Foundation (BONDHU) and to its officials.
