Seminar titled “Bangladesh Bondhu Foundation (BONDHU) for Climate Change Mitigation” held
Titled "Climate Change Mitigation Bangladesh Bondhu Foundation," Bangladesh Bondhu Foundation (BONDHU) and the Department of Environment (DoE) arranged a seminar on June 7th, 2022 on the occasion of World Environment Day. The staff of BONDHU and esteemed officials from the Department of Environment (DoE) were present in the seminar as the participants.
Mr. Mrityunjay Roy, an agriculture expert of Bangladesh Bondhu Foundation (BONDHU), delivered an insightful welcome address. Following this, Dr. Engineer Khalequzzaman, the Program Manager of BONDHU, enriched the seminar with a comprehensive keynote paper.
Distinguished panel discussants Dr. Surajeet Saha, Chief Information Officer from the Ministry of Agriculture, and Dharitri Kumar Sarkar, Deputy Secretary from the Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change, expressed their perspectives in the seminar. Md. Yunus Ali, former Chief Conservator of the Forest Department, graced the event as a special guest.
Gracing the event as the chief guest Md. Moniruzzaman, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change, highlighted the government's commitment to environmental endeavors. The seminar, presided over by Muhammad Sulaiman Haider, Director (Planning) of the Department of Environment (DoE), showcased a collective dedication to addressing climate challenges.
The event concluded on a note of gratitude extended by Syed Nazmul Ahsan, Director of the Department of Environment (Air Management).
