Bashori Celebrates its 10th Founding Anniversary

On November 4, Bashori – A Nazrul Centre, a sister organization of the Bangladesh Bondhu Foundation (BONDHU) marked its 10th founding anniversary with a grand celebration, honoring nearly a decade of dedicated efforts to promote the legacy of national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam. The day marked Bashori’s dedicated efforts to promote the works of national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam, and the celebration brought together members, artists, guests, and admirers of the organization.

BONDHU Medical Team Provides Healthcare for Flood Victims

In response to the severe flash flooding affecting Cumilla and Noakhali districts, the BONDHU Medical Team of the Bangladesh Bondhu Foundation (BONDHU) and Bashori - A Nazrul Centre have successfully conducted medical camps to support flood-affected communities. These initiatives have been instrumental in delivering free medical aid and medications to approximately 2,000 individuals in need.

BONDHU took part in the Environment Fair 2024

The Bangladesh Bondhu Foundation (BONDHU) participated in the Environment Fair-2024, an annual event orchestrated by the Department of Environment and the Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change. This event, alongside the month-long National Tree Plantation Campaign and Tree Fair, took place at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in Dhaka, beside the Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC). The fair kicked off on June 5th and ended on June 11th, 2024. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina officially inaugurated the fair on World Environment Day. This year's World Environment Day theme is "Land Restoration, Desertification, and Drought Resilience."

NAP Expo 2024 held at Dhaka

Four-day long NAP Expo 2024 dated 22-25 April, concluded on April 25th at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in Dhaka, Bangladesh. This annual event, organized by the Least Developed Countries Expert Group (LEG) under the UNFCCC, serves as a crucial platform for global stakeholders to exchange experiences and foster partnerships to advance National Adaptation Plans (NAPs). With this year's theme centered on "Driving Transformational Adaptation through National Adaptation Plans," the expo brought together 383 delegates from 104 countries.

A meeting titled “Energy-saving Stove Distribution and Discussion Meeting” held at Savar

Under the patronages of the Bangladesh Bondhu Foundation (BONDHU) and cooperation of Md. Habibur Rahman, the founder chairman of Uttaran Foundation and Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), a distribution event featuring Energy-saving stoves was organized on 14 March 2024, benefitting 4,000 impoverished families in Ward No. 1 of Savar Municipality.

BONDHU participated in the Environment Fair-2023

Bangladesh Bondhu Foundation (BONDHU) participated in the Environment Fair-2023, an annual event organized by the Department of Environment and the Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change in collaboration. This week-long event, along with a month-long National Tree Plantation Campaign and Tree Fair, commenced at the venue of Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka, adjacent to the Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC). Annual Picnic and Staff Conference of BONDHU held in 2022

In 2022, the Bangladesh Bondhu Foundation (BONDHU) and the Bashori-A Nazrul Center organized a vibrant and memorable Annual Picnic and Staff Conference on February 3rd, 2022. The event took place at Kabi Nazrul Park in Jadavpur, Sakhipur Upazila, Tangail District, with the participation of 1550 staff from all corners of Bangladesh and artists of Bashori.

Two-day Water Festival held at Shyam Nagar, Satkhira

At the Nawabeki Secondary School premises near Atulia Union Parishad in Shyamnagar, Satkhira an animated 'Water Festival' took place on January 15 and 16, 2023. This vibrant celebration marked the auspicious inauguration of the drinking water supply plant, a significant milestone under the Drinking Water Supply Project led by the Bangladesh Bondhu Foundation (BONDHU).

A three-day long ‘Bondhu Mela’ observed at Kapasia, Gazipur

The 'Bondhu Mela' (Bondhu Fair) hosted by the Bangladesh Bondhu Foundation (BONDHU) at Khaled Khurram Bari Ground, Banar Hawla, Kapasia, Gazipur, from January 9th to 11th, 2023, aimed to spread awareness about climate change and promote various climate-friendly initiatives of BONDHU. In collaboration with Kapasia Union Parishad, Gazipur, this three-day event saw the presence of Ms. Simin Hossain Rimi, MP, from Gazipur-5 Constituency as the chief guest during the inaugural ceremony. The event was presided over by Dr. Eng. Khalequzzaman, program manager of Bangladesh Bondhu Foundation (BONDHU) and president of Bashori- A Nazrul Center.
